Can You REALLY Make Money On The Internet Without Spending Any Money?

This is a common theme with many people, “Make a gazzillion dollars on The Internet without spending any money!”

Is this really possible?

I mean can YOU, an ordinary person, start a business online and make money without spending any money?

Let’s explore this a little and we will see.

Now we have heard all about bum marketing and that you can take any bum off the street with no money and make money online. Well first off, where is a bum off the street going to get a computer? Internet?

You may think I am being flip with this, but if we REALLY examine the claims from these programs we can determine if things are possible in the real world or not. So let us move past that point, the basic concept is that you do the following:

1. Go to ClickBank.com and pick product

2. You set up ads at free sites, use free hosting websites, and use Squidoo and other free ways to promote these products.

3. You write many (hundred or more) keyword intensive articles and submit them to article directories have your link in the “about” section.

4. You sit back and make money.

Now I am not saying that there aren’t people out there making a ton of money doing this, but the question is can YOU do this and make money without spending any money.

I get a lot of emails and sign up for a lot of things online. I do this to see what others are doing to promote their products. Some have very good information, others just send you link after link to sign up for other programs, or link after link to sell you something. Any that have been doing this for some time must be making money doing this or they are already independently wealthy and do this for fun (not).

In all these emails I get some from some of the top ‘bum marketers‘ on the planet. The common story of each one is that they DID NOT make money to start and in fact took a year or more to really see things get going. In this time they learned how to do SEO, write effective articles, make websites, do graphics work, learn FTP, learn HTML, learn WordPress, etc. They spent a tremendous amount of TIME doing this and were not making much money.

In each case they did do what is one of the key things to make any business successful:

THEY DID NOT GIVE UP!

Each failed attempt was one more thing they learned not to do. They kept at it. Some to the point of almost causing family meltdowns and other hardships, but they made it through.

When I investigate things, I don’t mess around as life is too short. TIME is money, inevitably you will have to spend both to make money on the Internet. It is a see-saw in that the more money you spend, the less time it will take; where the more time you spend the less money you will spend.

You can get these courses and memberships from these people, they are very good teachers. The problem is you will be spending money to take this ‘shortcut’. Money IS the ultimate shortcut, the more you spend wisely, the shorter the time to get a return. All they teach is available for free, but it is not sometimes easy to find or do as if you are not familiar with some of the topics discussed that they learned – you will be lost.

The other point about this is that you CANNOT just do this once, you will need many sites and many products to make any serious money on the Internet.

Why?

Each of the products you find at Clickbank have hundreds of other people doing this also. You have competition for the same product. You need to set up many websites (a network of them) to ensure that you have STEADY money coming in. Each product will have peaks and valleys in sales – this is a fact of life. The more diverse selection of products you have the less this makes any difference.

This means you will have to make many websites (do you know how to do this?), write many different kinds of articles (Is this what you are good at?), and all the other things you need to do to make it work. The ones that fail think they can do this with just ONE website.

The successful ones have maybe a few hundred websites or more.

Now I am not trying to ‘bum you out‘ (pardon the pun), but you must realize this or you will become one of the ‘people who tried and it doesn’t work’. You will need to not only make a budget of what you can afford to spend in your online business, but also realize what you are and what you aren’t capable of doing yourself. What you are not able to do yourself you will have to spend time to learn or money to have it done.

Those are the only options, unless you have a close relative with these skills you can partner with.

So what have we learned? You can make money on the Internet without spending any money, but it will take time and some training on your part. You can take a ‘shortcut’ by spending money on a course or other things to make your business grow faster. Wisely spent money poured into a business is like water to a plant – both make it grow.

That is what you want ultimately isn’t it – the Internet lifestyle? Work when we want? Drive the fancy cars and have the fancy house? Take vacations all over the place?

This is what we are working towards isn’t it? Just realize that it will not come overnight and without some hard work and money invested.

Although running a business sounds cool and all that. But in fact, I think you have to form a schedule so that you don’t get too involved. I liked that stuff you talked about “life is balance”. Maybe hiring someone do your work is a smart idea.
